About SheetLab
Who we are, how we write spreadsheet tutorials, and what to expect from our guides.
SheetLab publishes step-by-step tutorials for Excel and Google Sheets. We focus on formulas you can copy, pivot tables you can rebuild, and templates you can adapt — budget trackers, inventory sheets, and data cleanup workflows.
What we cover
- Lookup functions: VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, and the errors that usually cause
#N/A - Pivot tables for summarizing sales, expenses, or inventory
- Practical templates: monthly budgets, stock trackers with low-stock flags
- Data hygiene: TRIM, PROPER, CSV imports, conditional formatting, protecting formulas
How we write
Each tutorial opens with a concrete sheet layout, walks through the exact formula syntax, and calls out keyboard shortcuts where they save time. We test steps in current desktop Excel and Google Sheets; menu paths may differ slightly by version or locale.
Wrong-vs-right examples appear when a single typo (extra space, wrong column index, missing FALSE) is the usual failure mode.
What we do not cover
We do not rank add-ins, sell courses, or promise that one formula will replace your accounting system. For tax, payroll, or regulated reporting, use qualified tools and professionals.
